The Museum of Architecture presents the Bonsai Treehouses Exhibition this summer, set in the open air in a tranquil garden square.
Discover remarkable bonsai specimens alongside intricate, imaginative treehouse designs, created by architects and designers and inspired by the distinct form and character of these ancient trees. Each tree has its own story, and every treehouse design explores this year’s theme: Together.
MoA’s creative workshops are perfect for friends and families to do together. To find out more about the workshops, please scroll down, or click here to see the our workshops’ details.
Bonsai are not naturally miniature but are full-grown trees meticulously cultivated and styled over many years. As living masterpieces, every tree possesses a unique legacy and reflects the steady passage of time.
The Bonsai Treehouses Exhibition opens from 4 July until 31 August, and is brought to you by the team behind The Gingerbread City®, curated in partnership with museum interpretation specialist Paolo Cocco and bonsai specialist Peter Warren, and is part of Village in Green, a summer-long celebration of nature, creativity and community in Connaught Village.
